I wish men weren't approaching women anymore.

Not the best analogy my friend. 8 or 9 times out of 10 when a man approaches a woman in public it is not because she dropped something, it's because he's wanting to make some sort of overture or intrude on some fashion. Otherwise, you generally just get ignored.

Most men just go about their day and mind their business like most women do.

But there are a lot of weirdos out there. They may not be sex traffickers but they give off that same kind of vibe of inappropriateness and hiding ulterior motives behind false friendliness.

For example, when my daughter was young I had a neighbor tell me that if I ever needed money they knew someone who would pay at least $50K for her. This neighbor was a nut. They were probably talking about paying to adopt if I ever couldn't take care of her and the person they were referring to had likely told them that it took at least $50K to adopt. Still. Why the hell would you ever say that? Just out of the blue. Apropos of nothing? One could be forgiven for going down the trafficking route in their assessment of the situation, or even having it be on the table of possibilities.

After that she kept begging me to let her and her husband babysit. Really pushy and wouldn’t take no for an answer. Eventually her husband came and knocked on my door and said they wanted to babysit a few hours and a I laid into him.

It was weird. The whole thing was really weird.
