I was referring to media narratives and teenage boys specifically here.
Media narratives particularly visible in our stories both movies, TV, plays, and books, podcast bros, and video games.
We are all told as teenage girls to be patient with boys who reject us because you'll eventually grow up and see us for what we're worth. Seems like that's becoming less true about the growing up part. #NotAllMen, obviously, but you can't deny there are an awful lot of men out there in their 40s and 50s still chasing those tropes like that damn bee humping that orchid to the exclusion of a flesh and blood real woman who would love them.
