I was heavily influenced by my grandparents who came of age during the Great Depression. I abhor waste because of it, so you can imagine how hard it is for me to be around people most days, living in a disposable society.

When grief hits about collapse of civilization, the climate, and the environment as it does to everyone who is aware of the reality...it usually hits me in 3 main areas.

One of them is the waste. As far as we know, we are the only species this planet has ever had produced that was aware enough, advanced enough, and capable enough to actually produce sustainability without cycles of boom and bust not only for ourselves, but for every other living thing on this planet.

We can dream an then abstract and then build. Anything. Literally anything. No other living thing can make that claim.

Humanity has wasted their existence, and the waste of human existence is just unfathomable and incomprehensible.
