I was about to break reading to leave a comment about how they haven't thanked the rest of us for willingly taking on the burden of caring for strangers, but you got there and said it better.

It really does suck that so many of them are still so oblivious, and likely always will be, to the sacrifice that has been made for them. They'll never get it. They're just too stupid and selfish to.

We will be extremely lucky if Delta variant is the end. And if the vast majority of people who have gotten Covid don't have some kind of long term vascular or neurological damage that is going to shorten their lives and diminish their quality of life later in life.

People still aren't thinking about how unclear it is how much of the physiological damage of this virus will heal over time. And how much won't.
