I usually say that I follow and believe in the teachings of Christ and other belief systems but I am not a Christian.

When I get that look or question, I shrug and say, “today’s Christians are not followers of Christ".

There’s almost always a silent acknowledgement even amongst church goers. More people than you would think have come to realize how very far the church has drifted from it’s humble origins and the true power of it’s message. It’s pretty much an open secret.
