I use this one a lot too, with my team on chat because they’re less likely to respond to me, to acknowledge my explanation of their question or that they understood instructions, or that they’ve carried them out without further problem than they would a man.

It’s like, because I’m a woman, I’m just supposed to be available to them personally at all times, regardless of anyone else on the team or any other responsibility I might have other than helping them out from time to time.

It’s annoying. How hard is it to throw up a thumbs up emoji, type out “understood", “ok thx", or “done. thx" to acknowledge someone YOU came to for help?

And again, they naturally do this for my male counterparts, as well as not pestering them to death over every little thing.

So I go with “make sense?” to force a response that should be a given just so I can go on about my day.

It’s crazy.
