I tried to stick to just what the MCU showed. She has more attributes in the comic books.
The other thing that bothered me about your comment, is you were basing your comparison of Black Widow and Lisbeth Salander and criticizing BW as a prop for men because the films you saw were ones where the protagonist was either Iron Man or Captain America vs a book series where LS was the protagonist.
I agree that there needs to be more female representation in movies generally, but I'm not out to ruin men to do it. Iron Man and Captain America are also great characters and they don't deserve to be overshadowed, especially in movies that are written to be their story arc.
That would be like saying Nick Fury is lame just because he's a background or sidekick character in Captain Marvel. It's a dumb thing to say.
Black Widow did have her own movie where she was the clear protagonist. The other men and women in the movie did not overshadow her. That's as it should be.
And yeah, I think you were looking at her charaxter through a grievance lens. As such, you've got her all wrong. Black Widow is awesome.
