I traded out productivity for efficiency a long time ago. Big part of that is having the gall to make 'executive' decisions, and setting things up for people so they don't bug me as much as I can.

There's been this trend toward micromanagement in the last couple of decades. I hate it. It hate it with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. Businesses don't want employees to be self suffienient in their function anymore and so they've created a lot of unnecessary hand holding.
