I think you're right about narcissism being common amongst women of these ideologies. The ones who truly adhere to and deeply believe the ideology.

Good question about which came first. Did the narcissist find harbor in the ideology or did the ideology create the narcissist?

Probably the majority of those women grew up in the ideology themselves. That suggests the ideology creates the narcissist. Or maybe not. Maybe that's just what keeps them from leaving as soon as they can get out. Interesting question.
