I think you're likely right. But, I don't think it will be a Reformation. I think it's more like to be an abandonment of Christianity in favor of something more akin to Deism. I don't think Christianity will disappear entirely, or become extinct, but will lose my most of their followers. In the end, the cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy within Christianity will drive people away. It seems inevitable that Christianity will lose its place as the dominant belief system in America.

I don't think atheism is likely to become the primary belief system though because too many people still believe in God.
