I think they do. If they weren't, there wouldn't be so many people, especially men, striking gout so soundly in the dating scene.

It's not just the studies. I think the rise of the gaming I dustry and sports culture has wired men's brains to think about dating a certain way they never did before. Propaganda after WWII wired their brains another sort of way that wasn't present in the past. My grandfather used to talk about it, but he was in the middle of it so it was like looking at fog, he couldn't see the boundaries of it and he couldn't articulate what he was noticing well at all. But he deeply worried about it and what it meant for the country. Hollywood was a big part of that propaganda.

So those sorts of things primed the male brain to where it is today. They think of dating in terms of conquest instead of building. They're obsessed with "being a man" and performing masculinity and dominance displays for other men. It's always been a thing, but they were never so obsessed about it.

And then along comes all these ridiculous social studies that truly say or prove anything and they use them in an attempt to game their dating. Everyone loses out. And they're being defrauded of millions by snake oil salesmen promoting bad science for them to bobble head along with.
