I think nobody else can make that judgement or determination for someone else. A lot of it depends on who else is in your life that might be impacted by your execution or torture/terror, or censure. A lot of it depends on where you are in life or exactly how much of a threat you actually face. Who's going to be coming for you, how are they going to do it, and how prepared are you to defend yourself. What's going to happen to you then? Can you live with that? If you can't, are you prepared for next steps? Or, are you actively preparing?

The remake of Red Dawn had some applicable thoughts on this, on being under fire and resistance. Might be worth a look, if you haven't seen it.
