I think it's pretty accurate. As Robert said, it's about a decade old, so it's MeToo era

They had a male interviewer ask the questions and it was more involved than a simple survey.

The "point" was to find the line whee consent discussions break down for educational purposes.

So it was 12 or 13% said they would rape a woman if there were no consequences and almost 32% said they would force a woman to have sex if there were no consequences.

No idea if things like coerce or manipulate a woman into sex were part of "force" or if that should expand thrnperce tage further. Probably the latter.

So the atudy made the rounds uears ago to show that men didn't have a firm handle on what was rape and what wasn't.

Fine.

But it also shows at bare minimum that when there are no consequences one in three men will attempt to take sex from you using whatever means are at their disposal.

In a culture where women are STILL blamed and degraded for failing to deflect promising young men successfully and consequences for rapists are STILL just a slap on the wrist at most, most of the time...it creates an environment where you're better off avoiding men completely.

One in three is not an insignificant number. And again, we don't know if coersive and manipulative behaviors, which we women know are far more likely, are included in thise questions about "force".
