I think it's an obfuscation in the reporting. Media disinformation. The corporations need us out spending, not hunkering down to protect ourselves and each other.

Frankly, I think the numbers are much higher, because certain deaths are not being counted and won't be as Covid related. Those are just the numbers who died of the actual disease. Doesn't count the ones who later died due to neurovascular damage from the disease.

Or thr suicides from long covid and said neurovascular damage.

Lot of early middle age people dropping over with sudden massive heart attacks for no damn reason. Early on studies proves they'd had Covid and autopsies showed Covid damage. Some of them never knew they were sick, they never showed symptoms or it was a day or two with a mildly sore throat. And all the while, that virus is eroding their vasculature structure.

All those deaths are being hidden or obfuscated for what they are, or were. The vaccines are offering protection.
