I think it was mostly good for morale. As you said, you can't tell the outcome from the debates and in fairness, they're more for show than any real debate. You can't debate a complex issue in 1 minute. You can give policy snippets, very very carefully at best, because that can backfire easily.

Biggest thing was, she's the first one to stand up his bullying effectively. Big part of the reason why is because of who she is. I don't say that to diminish her accomplishments, but she had him offfooted the minute she cornered him and made him shake her hand. Impossible to deny.
