I think a lot of the "hate" is inevitable as a side affect of content creation in two, maybe three aspects. Content creation on social media is an out of control and manipulated competition.

You have to be producing to gain traction. You have to have eyeballs to make money. You have to invest time to produce.

That means you end up with stuff being repeated ad nauseum infinitum that shouldn't be. Stuff being produced that NEED a real edit, not just for grammer and spelling. It's common knowledge that you'll get more eyeballs with engagement by pissing people off than by going the happy happy joy joy route. A striking number of people on Medium aren't operating at full capacity (I'll be kind) because they're the only ones who have the time to devote. Everyone else is working. That means there's a lot of grievance because these are not generally people who are doing well in life in one way or another.

Stuff like that. The algorithm drives what makes money and what makes money drives the algorithm.

I'm out of time. End of the month audits, but you get the idea of where I was going with that.
