I start sentences with conjunctions all the time. But that's the way I talk. A lot of people do.

It's funny because most grammar teachers will take you over the coals for that one yet admonish you to write conversationally at the same time.

It does help with getting the writing going in the first place. Just type out what you're saying in your head.

I'm with you on editing too. So time consuming and difficult to edit your own work. Editing someone else's is much easier.
