I partially agree with you here, but maybe not. Or, not completely.

Remember the debate with Clinton? Remember the Repiblican primary debates back in 2016? And the debate with Joe Biden a coupla few weeks ago?

Everyone has been waiting and looking for someone who can stand up to Trump, still come off as knowledgeable and professional, and yet still make Trump look the foolishness, unhinged, petulant little turd that he is.

In fairness, nobody's been able to do it. Not a single Republican. Not a single Democrat.

She did.

I hoped, but I also had my doubts. That's not a slight on her because nobody else has been able to do it.

So, in that sense, it's fair to say that she exceeded a lot of people's expectations. So many have failed, people learned to keep their expectations low.
