I mean that within every biological trait there is natural variance of expression. Variance is one of the gears of evolution.
For example, eye color may be predominantly brown, but there's also blue, green, hazel, and even red or white (albinos).
Within the blue expression, the blue can be so pale it looks nice blue, sky blue, a slate grey, or so dark it looks lavender.
Brown can be yellowish or topaz to chocolate to almost black.
Variance. A variety of expression.
With gender, the expression of it has never been as bimodal as people think. That has to be forced and has been taken to extremes in the modern era.
Not all females are xompassionate and nurturing. Even for those that are, there are varying degrees of it.
Not all males are stoic and assertive. Even for those who are, there are varying degrees of it.
There's variance. And frankly, in addition to that, these "male/female" traits are not static anyway. They are dynamic.
