I LOVE how you've split this in two articles Olú. They both pack such a punch, I hope they are widely read. On the last one I commented with a prison analogy. For this side of the equation, my thinking has always been a sharecropper analogy. There aren't many better examples (other than straight up slavery) of stolen labor than sharecropping.

I have used that phrasing of how the provider and protector myths reduces men down to sperm donors and pack mules/beasts of burden so many times.
