I live in the American southwest so I donate money to make sure wild horses have water and wild conservation.

I've reduced water consumption in several ways ... I take Navy showers now except on days I wash my hair although, I guess technically how I handle that would still maybe classify as a Navy shower.

I walk and take public transportation a great deal of the time. I'd say I walk on average 5 miles a day, including to the grocery store.

Pirate farming within the city, but I'm farming for the homeless and urban wildlife wherever there's water access or moisture.

Shifting purchases to reduce plastic use. Can't take credit for that one except the desire, but Urchling is the one making that happen. We're starting to make plastic bricks.

All sort sof stuff really. The truck is to do it slow and if it's too hard or you can't make it work, move on and try something else without feeling like the scum of the earth because one thing didn't fit into your life easily or well. Everyone's different.

Just try to adopt an adaptation every so often , whatever you can manage.

I'd advise everyone to start learning to grow food in various ways, learn what's edible around you, learn to cook and how to build cooking apparatus, etc, start an heirloom seed library (and not just for edible plants), invest in non powered tools. That kind of thing. Oh, and learn the basics of how things are made.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
