I live in a mixed neighborhood so that would be detrimental to my black neighbors who I'm quite fond of. Also my Hispanic neighbors, who are just some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. And also, I have some Indigenous neighbors. I've come to depend on their presence and humor as a kind of emotional support after rough days at work. They are the only people I've known with such ready, genuine smiles. I would not want anything bad to happen to them. You know, my white neighbors are not horrible people either. Most of the would give you the shirt off your back I you needed it. He only thing we seen to be missing is some Asians.

No, our neighborhood problems, of which there at plenty, stem from drugs and everything. that comes with it; from the broken and the chaos they drag around with them. The broken represent all races too.

That said, I see your point and on the whole I agree. I wasn't suggesting Rittenhouse deserves leniency. I wasn't suggesting he should get a bye so white people won't riot. I was simply expressing unease at the whole circus. This trial is about more than the events that transpired because it's been politicized. It couldn't not have been. The law and justice through the law can only deal with the event in question. In this instance, the law is an inadequate tool, which means there will be no real, meaningful justice.

The whole thing makes me I'll at ease.

If riots happen, it's unlikely that they will happen here. I'll be watching on TV, my heart in my hands, grieving for all the people of this nation. Because this affects us all in ways we can't fathom yet and most of us can't do a damn thing about it but sit and watch it happen.

I'm ill at ease my friend. Ill at ease.
