I know, right?!??

It’s been an absolutely gobsmacking experience, the mental gymnastics these folks have to do to equate a hygiene device they are asked to temporarily don in response to a public health emergency with government attempts to do away with the first amendment. Just…. just…🤦🙄🤦😣🤦😲🤦, you know?

At this point, I can only hope these folks tend to their reason a bit more as things calm down post Trump. We got lucky. Lucky the death toll was not higher, lucky keeping it in hand turns out to be relatively inexpensive, etc. The next viral incursion may not be anywhere near so mild. But you’re not going to know going in, just as we had to learn with this one. We shouldn’t be setting ourselves up to have to learn the hard way from the start.

And it’s cold comfort to all those who have lost so much, family members, financial solvency, livelihood, education, all of it. It didn’t have to be this way. It’s up to us (Americans) to make sure it’s not that way again the next time.
