I hope it goes well for you, and it's not like you can't change your mind or change course if it doesn't work out like you'd hoped. It's your magazine, you can do whatever you want whenever you want with it.

Not all anonymity is the same, that's the thing. Penguin has been around and been consistent and produced their own prodigious catalog. That's true of a lot of folks on here who cling to anonymity in one way or another.

But there's defnitely another sort who weaponize anonymity to rage and attack. I actually appreciate your efforts to curb that because Medium isn't. Your only other option is to go through your entire comment section of your entire magazine periodically and scrub those inappropriate comments and then block those users. That's just too much to keep up with without some sort of automation. I imagine, like most of us, you have to work for a living.

Too bad there's not some sort of scripting available to editors to handle that. You'd think that since Medium doesn't seem to want to take responsibility for it that they would give creators the tools to curb this behavior. There's not going to be a good overarching solution to this civility issue, just a constant rebalancing and shoring up.
