I guess that's the difference. You can't relate because it's not and won't be life or death for you. But what if it was a political matter where conservatives wanted to round up everyone on the spectrum and sterilize them so they can't make more autistic people?

Because that's relational to what's going down in Texas. One of these recent laws is going to kill someone. Someone who would otherwise have lived. It's just a matter of time. And it will be a long, gruesome death. This law is going to ruin lives and wreck families.

And all because this man, this ignorant fool, couldn't be bothered to learn about what he was voting on. He doesn't even know what he's talking about. But hey! He's a conservative and believes in "family values" right?

One doesn't have to be particularly political. Certainly not involve in identity politics. But if I were your partner, some politician starts talking smack about Autistics and pushing policy forcing some nonsense like sterilization as I described, that took has got to go. He's putting you in harm's way. He's sticking the state where it doesn't belong.

If women cannot expect the same from men, then clearly we need to rethink the calculus of how we involve you in our lives. Because blaise approaches to whether you'll have our backs or not when and how it really matters is putting us in harm's way and negatively impacting our lives. For us, these policies very much are life or death.
