I get what you’re saying here, and where you intimately ended with it. And you’re right, people who have never stepped into their own autonomy to go for what they want in life instead of making everyone else provide it for them do end up like this. You’re also right, they’re insufferable and exhausting for everyone else to be around.

Trouble is, you don’t have to be female or white to act like this. You just have to be an entitled asshole. 9 out of 10 people I’ve known who have acted like this have been setting other than female or white. I’d guess that’s pretty average. So that’s your first problem with this article.

Further, the term “Karen” is misapplied here. I hate this term for just this reason. The shift was bound and destined to happen given the way social.dynamics usually play out. This usage is pure misogyny, plain and simple because you’re slandering and maligning women for behavior that is not unique to them with this usage.
