I follow a lady on TikTok who's teenage son is a full fledged psychopath, as in rubber stamped, meets the diagnostic manual criteria, fully evaluated by multiple qualified professionals, this boy is well and truly a potential future serial killer - psychopath. Just so we're clear and you realize I'm not being flippant with the word.

He's in care; has to be because he's already put both his mother and his sister in the hospital.

His mom details the struggles of getting and keeping him in care. He's been kicked out of multiple juvenile facilities already. Not many are equipped to deal with him. It's ridiculous how many hoops she has to jump through. She's lost jobs because of it, the time, people finding out, the stress, etc.

She's consulted many cops and psychologists because, of course, he's ended up on the wrong side of the law too. To a one, they've all told her and her husband to expect a bad outcome. Meaning, their son is, most likely, going to end up in prison for life after murdering one or more people. When he turns 18, he gets cut loose on the street, they can't force him to stay home under supervision, and it's dangerous to have him there. They'd be risking their other 4 children's lives and possibly theirs too.

And there's nothing that can preemptively be done, within the law anyway.

I'm always shocked by the hate and vitriol the public hurl at this woman. And not, (thanks Criminal Minds) because when a kid turns our "bad" or "wrong", it's always the mom's fault. Even while they are the ONLY one demonstrably giving a rat's ass to help that kid.

Anyway, all of that to say... good job with those signs. Smart move. Calling the news too. That's tactically smart. Whatever it takes, right?
