I don't think so, because there's been a shift, especially when we talk about this pressure.

Two-fold.

"All" men now think they are owed sex and sexual attention from "all" women, whenever they want it. They all think they're expected to "take their shot". That's never really been the case before. Men might have experienced attraction, and vice versa, but the did not think they were owed the right to act on it.

The way they go about it has changed. Player, or PUA culture. Men act like the cartoonish wolf men or wild men from 40s cartoons. Porn has had a negative effect on how men make "romantic" overtures. They've basically trained themselves (from very young ages) to get off on violence.

It's disgusting. It's degrading. Quite naturally, it makes women less receptive to these "overtures" and hold men, in general, in less regard. More and more women want less and less to do with you men.

And why not? You’ve turned courtship into an act of predation. Even mild stuff has that edge to it now. I don’t exactly enjoy spending copious amounts of time with alligators, tigers, and sharks either.
