I don't think push notifications are always going through.
I agree about the fairness, but that gets too complicated to have hard and fast "rules".
Women asking out men is not uncommon here. Hadn't been in a while.
It's uncommon for men to accept. Or to decline graciously or kindly.
Usually you get some iteration of:
1. I don't date women who want to act like men
2. I have to be in the driver's seat.
3. Are you gonna pay too? You don't look like you can afford me.
4. I don't ride bitch (referring to the back position on a motorcycle). This one was personal.
5. Straight up laughed at. No real words.
6. We don't have to go out. We could just go to the alley. Is this free?
7. You don't have a kid do you?
8. Sure, but I wanna bring my kids because you are PERFECT! (looking for a girlfriend babsitter so he can go fishing with his buddies on his visitation weekends.
9. Paranoia. Me? Why me? What do you want from me?
10. (My personal favorite) I don't go out with women who ask me anymore because I can't do another boring date. Y'all can't plan anything fun for shit.
