I don't think it's so much that women want to be absolved of accountability as much as it is refusing to accept the double standard.
Let's not forget that women have been having horrible experiences dating for YEARS now. But when we asked men to hold each other accountable to honesty and good intent for our safety, but also for your own good, men were like, "but what was she wearing? She's the one who went out with him. You cant police people's preferences. Free speech, he's entitled to his opinion even if you don't like it. Blah blah blah."
Make no mistake. Men set the stage and the rules for how women would respond to this. You cannot treat someone like the scum of the earth and think they're going to have warm and fuzzy feelings for you. We're actually not dogs, despite how quickly and viciously men will fall into calling us bitches or worse over bullshit.
Guess you boys better learn to protect yourselves, dress appropriately, and quality check.
