I don't know about this. My gut says they were both equally abusive. Physically, emotionally, and now financially.

He's an addict and an alcoholic. There are far fewer cases of DV that do not involve drugs and/or alcohol than there are ones that do.

He's admitted to blackouts.

Also, you can physically abuse someone without leaving a mark on them. Things like force feeding, forcing drugs or drink, sleep deprivation, yelling or subjecting them to noise loud enough to damage their hearing, manhandling, sex while she was passed out or asleep, etc.

That's not mentioning the fact that it can be terrorizing living with an out of control addict.

I tend to think he cut off his own finger in a drug fueled rage....

She's certainly not innocent either. I definitely believe they abused each other horrendously.

I'm just can't get there about him not abusing her physically too.
