I don't know about that. I think it depends on how financially savvy you are and how much you value financial freedom.
I mean, I know that you're right I that most people think they would. They look at the veneer of wealth displays and think it's more desireable, just like how young.meb look at Andrew Tate posing in front of jets and cars with hot girls on each arm and think that's a desireable life.
But those were props he paid for and staged to tell a story. That's what he's selling, a story. It's fake.
Same soet of thing. You can have the fake story with all the stress and worry that goes with it judt to project a story you want people to believe or you can have real financial independence.
Most of the affluent people I know are overleveraged. They're in poor health and trapped in miserable marriages because of it.
I know a lot of poor who are living extremely well. They're vibrant and healthy. They don't worry. They have time for each other. A lot of times, they've returned to modern versions of our former, more pastoral, lives. They ARE financially free. They've opted out of the economy as much as you can and they're better off for it.
