I don't know about that. There's immigration and there's refugees.
A refugee can be accepted in on a more limited status and without all the hoops because they are understood to be under duress. Their lives are endangered.
This certainly applies to transgender individuals in our analogy as well particularly trans women.
That said, refugees are often accepted on a temporary basis, with the understanding that they will return to their country when conditions changes or that they will go through a naturalization process.
You don't get to sneak in as a refugee and then start demanding citizenship or that citizenship requirements be changed to suit your purpose because you you were shown compassionate early entry. That's just rude and self serving.
