Was it a fiasco? Well sure. Anything that man touches turns to gold filigreed shit. It's not going to be news,.actual news. It's going to be crazy. So in that sense, yeah it was a fiasco. The left needs to stop trying to get one up on Trump. Or fact check in real time. He's a pathological liar; it's like herding cats. So if CNN thought they were going to be able to hold Trump to account or something via journalism, then yeah it was a fiasco. They got spanked. Again.

Does that mean there was no use or no utility in it?

Hard to say. I think it's too soon to say. Somehow or other, conservatives need to be drawn away from Fox News. For the good of the nation. If hosting Trump does that...then it may be worth it. In time.

That said, I do think I they went about it in a way that couldn't succeed.
