I don't believe that at all. That being said, it's true we tend to be particularly wary about what's being promoted to the benefit of men and where it's coming from because historically, it's been used to undermine, exclude, and disenfranchise women.
I don't see a problem pointing out that loss of privilege can seem like oppression, for example. It's true. It can. It's an appropriate response for many an argument.
Like, "the reason women are outperforming men is because they have all these scholarships available that men don't have. If feminists truly wanted equality they'd give more scholarships or ensure men had more scholarships to attend college."
That argument is ridiculous on the face of it for multiple obvious reasons, but it's being pushed by the manosphere, full steam ahead.
Like, "the reason girls are outperforming boys in school is because it's too hard for boys to sit still all day and pay attention. School should be restructured to cater to boys' more active natures to be fair to boys and if feminists were interested in equality, they'd be advocating for that." This, of course, is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard but I actually, backhandedly, kinda like this argument because I believe it accidentally hints at what the real problem is. The one that can and should actually be addressed, and soon, for ALL the kiddos. (See? Cause I'm thinking about equity and equality. See how that works. Lol)
I digress. Anyway, boys seem to have zero problem sitting up for 3 days straighr to play a video game or sitting in a tree for hours in a frozen tree for a chance to take down a deer.....so having to sit still ain't it. It's truly laughable. Note also, how the proposed correction, what's fair to the minds of men, is to one again order things in a fashion that clearly advantages (to their beliefs) one gender over another.
That's the best they got. All the other arguments are along the same lines. And that's why the feminist response is wary. We're not hearing any sound arguments for why boys are falliby behind or any rational and sensible plans to help them that aren't deliberately designed to handicap us women again.
Energy wise, here in the US at least, we've for bigger fish to fry right now. Women are under direct legal assault by a rising fascist wave. Most feminist efforts are either concentrated there or a few other areas of pressing concern.
Are you suggesting that fewer men in college is more important than reproductive rights?
