I didn't say they wouldn't meet any. I said it wouldn't be in the level of what women have received, which also comes from both men and women.

It will be bad at first. And they will have to stand against that.

But you also have to remember it's not an appoes to apples comparison comparing backlash men face today with backlash women face today. Women are two generatons removed from the first rejections of gender tropes. Men today are where women were then, not where we are today.

So, of course it seems harsh and more severe.

You also have to keep in mind that man or woman, and regardless of ehether the backlash you're experiencinf is coming from a man or woman, that backlash is the result of someone who has not healed their own wounds caused by the violence of patriarchy. Otherwise, they wouldn't get so pressed about it, would they?

That knowledge helps. It's power. It will help you stand strong against these waves of backlash.

Don't make it a competition. It's not a competirion. And don't let some of these guys lure you into mollycoddling them just because it's hard. Ultimately, you'll just be hurting them and yourself more.

Support them appropriately so they can get the job done. Do not dole out cookies. Men are not trained monkeys; they deserve more respect than to be infantalized or treated like pets. It's dehumanizing, so knock it off.

Support them appropriately, that will mean mostly from afar.
