I could use the stimulus too. However, you’re putting a lot on the Republicans actually supporting this bill which seems unlikely. Look at what they do, not just what they say.

If they really wanted a stimulus, why go on break when they needed to be getting this done? Why prioritize anything else over this moment?

They made promises and then didn’t honor their side of the bargain on the last piece of legislation regarding accountability in the spending. And then sneered out a series of “what are going to do about it?” rhetoric comments. That’s going to cost our children if all the tax loopholes aren’t closed.

It would be foolish beyond the telling of it to just take their word for anything at this point. There is zero reason to believe they will stick to anything they agree to. Especially when traditionally Republicans only ever favor stimulus for big business and bailouts on our dime in the first place.

It will take food and housing riots that make the BLM protests look like a lighthearted elementary school outing in comparison for them to change their tune and support aid.
