I believe life on other planets exists. It's umliky that it doesn't.

But we need some nuance and perspective with this line of thinking.

If you ask me my certainty that life on other planets exists, I'm standing by as near to 100% as one can get.

Intelligent life? It's a coin toss. I'm comfortable with that.

Intelligent life that we will meet? Flip my first response. As close to 0% as one can get ... and you'll have to excuse me while I go laugh my ass off. Because I understand the sciences.

Movies are fun. E.T. is still one of the best. Always will be. But they're fiction and fantasy. Not reality or realistically believable in the slightest. It's okay to have fun with the fiction thought so long as you keep in mind that it's all in fun.
