I believe it. I was the first in my family to divorce...EVER. 1998.

I was given a really hard time over it. I fell I to a depression, even though I was very happy to be divorced and I didn't initiate it (other than the paperwork).

Later, my parents divorced. Like, 5 years later, or so.

One parent still blames me for that, because "you made it okay for others to do that (quit) too".

That's been almost twenty years. And it STILL gets thrown in my face from time to time.
