I agree with with @Calvin O. Pierce Jr. This seems like part of the conservative power grab. I hope this family sues the business for the $2000. Or better yet, they never paid it.

And you're right. No one is served well by pandering to grown folks throwing public tantrums.

So what do we do? For one, if you're a witness to some of this nonsense, speak up and defend public space. You don't have to be mean, rude, confrontational or start a fight. But liberals need to do better about protecting public space.
