I agree. I mean, I tend to prefer life with my furry companion and I'm not as happy when I don't have one.

But you have to be a companion to them too. Take them out on nice long walks and play and stuff. They're not dolls you can just put away for the day when you get bored with them.

If one can't handle that commitment and one must have a pet, then one should get a fish. Get multiple fish so they'll at least have some company while you're out carousing around or working or what have you.

We're going to be at the ocean within a few months. I can't wait. The Joopster should love it. Coon Tut always had a blast fighting with the surf when we lived in Florida. Almost as much fun as barking at the buffalo.
