I agree about getting back to work, but I also agree about and recognize the difficulties. Schools are still in a state of flux. Child care is iffy. Public transportation has been reduced. Prices have gone up. That low pay may no longer be enough to cover expenses. Many have been displaced. They need to sort out housing first. Many are still struggling with long haul Covid or have to cover for a family member who does. Many have been forced into other careers and are doing better with that, they don't want to return to what they were doing. And so forth and so on.
A lot of things have changed. It took a while to adjust to living in a pandemic. Where we are now didn't happen with the flip of a switch. Likewise, there's no switch to quickly flip back to where we were. Even if there were, some of the circuit/wiring connections are fried.
