I actually don't blame her here. It's the breasfeeding. No way in hell would I allow myself to be pressured into weaning for someone else's convenience.

One can espress milk for the partner to feed with and at 2 1/2, that child is already eating solid foods too, will need the added maternal comfort so he doesn't have a harder time with the separation and it's already part of his routine.

There is zero reason to be additionally disruptive when things are already stressful. Weaning is hard and stressful on the mother too, especially when the child becomes resistant because they're just. It ready too.

This "just cut them off" attitude is bullshit. Children will self wean between 2 and 3 when they are ready. It'll take about 4 months naturally. And doing it naturally doesn't cause unnecessary pain for mom.

Let me guess. This woman does not have any children yet thinks she's an expert.
