Homeschooling since 7th grade has helped my daughter in this regard too. She hasn't been as exposed to the ephebophiles, pressure to be pretty and pleasing, jealously and sabotage of plainer (usually only self perceived) girls, harassment from boys her own age looking to experiment with sex, etc.m, as much as I was at her age.

She has a much stronger sense of self and doesn't think about her own looks either positively or negatively that much.

I envy her.
