Here's your problem. You need to accept reality before you admonish others to, just because you got in trouble for swapping punches in school.

Namely, that the purpose of school is education. You're there to learn, not play games and roughhouse.

Perhaps we should return to caning like in days gone by, when miraculously, boys were able to concentrate in school and get an education without being overly disruptive and violent. And back then, you didn't even have nice cushy desks or heated rooms. You had a rough plank board bench if you were lucky, and a coal stove that was too small to adequately warm the room.

Perhaps it was the constant shivering that kept boys from arm wrestling during math class when they should be learning how to figure so they can conduct their business in adulthood.

Funny how it worked out that children who were priviledged enough to get to attend school back then walked out literate, intelligent, able to resolve figures in their heads, and with a good overall education but now that school has become an entertainment and "boys will be boys" has become the oft repeated mantra we're producing generations of illiterate and stupid Peter Pans and Lost Boys who refuse to grow up.

Coincidence?

Your job as a child is to prepare for being an adult. Not to laze around having endless fun at everyone else's expense. You're in school to learn. Not play.

You must not have very high regard for yourself or boys in general to believe them incapable of sitting through math class and paying attention.
