Heh heh. Yeah.
It is actually. You have the freedom to practice your faith. If you believe in the Great Divine Spaghetti Monster and an important part of your faith practice is to pass out spaghetti noodles on a certain day then it is your right to do so.
You don't have the right to force people not of that faith to take your spaghetti noodles because they might be devout members of the Divine Coconut where part of their faith practice is to shun all processed wheat products because they are a corruption of wholeness. Or whatever.
This is actually a whole lot less about freedom and religion than you would think at first glance.
It's really more about a poor distinction in American society between civility and politeness. Also, where coercive sales pitches cross the line into acts of violence and how the use of public shame should be a hard no in any situation.
