He is sexist though. You can be sexist without hating women. That's a function of Christianity. It's based on misogyny so you can't be involved in it and not be sexist. That applies to women too.

Another thing he's doing with this projection is covering. That's where the disdain comes from. He's conflating all kothers with the one's he sees in his chiechbor who are also conservative and religiously minded.

Christianity makes you subconsciously believe that God rewards the worthy, the devout, etc. So, if you're soint poorly, it's because your a bad person whom God is punishing. All Christians believe this to some extent.

He's wallowing in self pity as an offshoot of that belief. He sees these women having children and he doesn't think they deserve them becase theyre not good parents. And he can't produce a child so why are they worthy and he is not? Why is God punishing him?

That conflation is a repeating slap in the face to all other mothers. As you pointed out, it's not like this a one time oopsie. That disdain has been palpable throughout his work.

And let's be real. We liberal and feminist mothers here on Medium roll our eyes and argue against conservative motherhood propaganda. We say how sick and depraved it is.

Because it is. It's gross.

But that's a religious/ conservative problem, not because women are incapable of raising sons.

You look at sons raised by feminists. By and large, theyre doing well. They're not the ones eating bullets. If they're not partnered, they're happy. If they are partnered, they're blissfully in love. They're fucking solid. The world needs more liberal men raised by liberal feminist women, single or not.

I'll tell you something else too. My sweet Urchling read one of his articles and pitches the phone across the couch. This one was about birth rate nonsense and how young women are selfish.

She said, "why in the world would anyone want to have children if you're just going to be spat on for doing so? These men have taken leave of their senses."

So yeah, all this hate and disdain hurled at women isn't exactly a mark in the pro column when thinking about if the motherhood path is what's best for your life.

But then, she's never been an accessory either, so she's solid in who she is too. That's because her mother is a flaming liberal who doesn't buy into conservative propaganda bullshit.
