He doesn't. He's stated so in several of his pieces. Funnily enough, he says it's because people don't want a serious debate because he would welcome that. They just want to deny the validity of this argument. Yeah.

So instead he argues with himself in his pieces. Or rather, he debates with the audience via proxy mental interpretation of what he thinks they will think or object to.

It's really convenient. One might even say thoughtful, if he wasn't so wrong much of the time or could recognize that he makes a lot of logical fallacies his own self.
