Gospel of Thomas:

Jesus said: If your leaders say to you 'Look! The Kingdom is in the heavens!" Then the birds will be there before you are. If they say that the Kingdom is in the sea, then the fish will be there before you are. Rather, the Kingdom is within you and it is outside of you."

Acts 7:48

“the Most High does not dwell in houses made with hands."

If the kingdom of God resides inside me, then it resides inside my neighbor as well. It resides in the world I am a part of. Which means, I cannot inherit the kingdom while tearing down my neighbor and destroying the world around me.

No church, no building, no leader, no organization can ever change that fact. This is ancient, simple wisdom. This IS TRUTH. We either get there together, or not at all.
