Good point. This right here is the one aspect where men are well and truly biased against in terms of unplanned pregnancy.

In conjunction with what Vanessa said below, there's the aspect of how a pregnancy can derail or even end your life. There's just no easy making up for that to justify forcing a woman to take a pregnancy to term to benefit the father or choose his wishes over hers.

For the few men who would actually want to take full custody and financial costs of pregnancy and childbirth so the woman can get on with her life, it sucks. It does.

Still, its not something I would want legislated or brought under state scrutiny, control, or discussion. Look at the mess that has been made over insurance for birth control and abortion. No one, male or female, should want more state "help" on these issues.

Maybe one day there will be a way to gestate a child artificially outside the womb. Very Star Trekky, I know, but it sure would solve a lot of problems, wouldn't it?
